The plot of the erotic novel Red Sofa tells a humorous, half gallant and half fairytale, an oriental-inspired story about a young man who literally "wears" himself through countless erotic escapades. As a result of his own sexual failure, he has been transformed by the ugly fairy Crapaudina into a bright red sofa, and in order to regain his human form, he must wait to see if anyone else will fail in the act of frolicking on its upholstery. And so he witnesses many different erotic adventures, especially at Mamá Fillon's, where the licentious church clergy seduce the pretty and innocent novices on its red-colored surface. Before he is completely outwitted, "The Sofa" is liberated from his furniture form by the old prosecutor, who fails in the main task of the wedding night, and the young man, free at last, can cheerfully resume his fairy adventures.
